We have three adjacent self-catering terraced properties in Trewent Park in Freshwater East, Pembrokeshire (click here for a map) . All the same size, these two-storey properties are double glazed and carpeted throughout. Sleeping up to six, the whole of the downstairs is one well-equipped spacious room, with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs.
Below are some photos of the main rooms - and the view of the beach taken from the front door.
The front half of the downstairs is the lounge area complete with sofa bed, easy chairs, TV with video & DVD players, and an electric fire/convector. On the right are the stairs leading to the first floor.
The rear half of the downstairs is the dining room with table and chairs, a wall-mounted convector heater and a bookcase with a wide selection of books and games for all ages. There are seven box files in which are catalogued the leaflets for the area.
On the right hand side of the dining room is the well equipped kitchen. As well as a full set of crockery and cutlery, it has a microwave, electric cooker, domestic fridge with freezer compartment, kettle, toaster and an extra wall cupboard which is empty for food storage.
On the inside of the wall cupboards are lists of inventory, directions to shops, churches and launderettes, emergency telephone numbers, and instructions how to turn the sofa into a bed and back to a sofa.
Upstairs there is a front bedroom with double bed and duvet in its own cover, and a back bedroom with two single beds for which we provide blankets. Both bedrooms have a wall-mounted convector heater and a wardrobe or a chest of drawers.
Linen-wise, you will need to bring sheets, pillowcases, towels and tea-towels. For the front bedroom double bed you will also need to bring either a top sheet or a kingsize duvet cover to put over the existing duvet cover.
Just outside in the landing area you will find the smoke alarm.
The bathroom has a full-sized bath, with an electric shower fitted over it. The room is tiled floor-to-ceiling, and there is a shaver socket above the basin.
Trewent Park and Surrounding Area
These properties are situated on a village comprised of holiday homes. The whole village is built on one side of a small valley with our properties about halfway back and up to one side, so they are not overlooked.
Trewent Park is a relaxed village environment without the hustle and bustle of other more 'facility-driven' holiday locations. You will find a pub/restaurant at the entrance, but other than that you really are in the quiet of the natural beauty of South Wales.
There is ample parking marked out in designated bays and there are ten steps to climb up to our terrace. The beach is about 250yds away, within sight of the front door, and the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path lies between us and the beach.
Bookings and Pricing
Bookings are Saturday to Saturday in the school holidays. At other times we aim to fit with your requirements. Prices range from £250 to £400pw depending on season and include electricity. We offer discounts for second and subsequent weeks, and also for clergy and church workers. Unfortunately, we are not able to cater for pets and all our properties are non-smoking.
Freshwater East is secluded village with a wonderful beach. As such, the nearest shop is 2 miles away with the nearest large town being picturesque Pembroke about 4 miles away. This has all the amenities you would expect of a market town including a Co-op supermarket and a greengrocers. Just through Pembroke a couple of miles further on there is a large Tesco Extra at Pembroke Dock.
There is one bus route which goes through Freshwater East. Timetables are available here and there are copies available in the properties.
Having been visiting Pembrokeshire with a growing family for 15 years, we have sampled much of what the county and surrounding area has to offer. Please feel free to ask us for any information you may require or should you wish to enquire about a booking.
